To start with, make fun bath bombs in the shape of cupcakes with the kids.
Materials
Baking soda
Corn starch
Epsom salt
Cream of tartar (you can find it in grocery shops)
Colouring
Aromatic oil
Plastic nebuliser
Cupcake moulds
Steps
First, sift 1 cup baking soda, ¾ cup cornstarch, 1 cup Epsom salt, ¼ cup cream of tartar and food colouring into a bowl. Sifting removes any coarse particles that may be present in any of the ingredients.
Secondly, put some of the food colouring into a plastic nebuliser. Gradually add the food colouring to the mixture until you get a uniform colour. Do this a little at a time until everything is dyed. You can do this procedure with as many colours as you like.
Next, add a few drops of an aromatic oil of your choice.
Spoon the mixture into the cupcake holders.
Leave to dry overnight.
Finally, remove from the mould.
You can also do this with other shapes, such as the plastic eggs used for Easter decorations.
